Katz LDE provides land development civil engineering for developers, home builders, architects, property owners, municipalities, and other engineering firms. Every project is handled directly by a licensed senior engineer, from early feasibility through construction.

Drainage Reports & Drainage Letters

Preliminary and final drainage reports and drainage letters prepared to Mile High Flood District (MHFD) and local city and county criteria. From single-lot drainage letters to full reports for large residential and commercial developments, we size conveyance, detention, and water quality facilities and document them clearly for review.

Grading & Site Plans

Grading, paving, and site layout plans that balance earthwork, meet ADA and local standards, and work hand in hand with the drainage design. Plans are built to move efficiently through municipal review and to be constructed as drawn.

Stormwater Management & Detention Design

Detention and water quality pond design, including outlet structures, trickle channels, emergency spillways, and maintenance access, designed to MHFD and local jurisdiction requirements.

Erosion Control Plans & SWMPs

Erosion and sediment control plans and Stormwater Management Plans (SWMPs) for construction permitting with Colorado municipalities and CDPHE.

Utility Design (Water, Sanitary, Storm)

Water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer design for site development, including main extensions, service connections, and coordination with utility districts and providers.

Site Development & Entitlement Coordination

Civil engineering support through site plan, subdivision, and PUD approvals. We prepare submittals, respond to review comments, and coordinate with cities, counties, and special districts to keep projects moving.

Feasibility & Due Diligence Reviews

Early-stage reviews of grading, drainage, utilities, floodplain, and jurisdictional requirements that flag cost and schedule risks before you buy a site or start design.

Plan Review & Peer Review

Third-party civil plan and drainage report reviews for municipalities, plus QA/QC peer reviews for developers and engineering firms that want an experienced second set of eyes.

Construction Coordination

Construction-phase support including RFIs, submittal reviews, site visits, and as-built and public improvement acceptance coordination.
